This morning the rapper shared a photo of himself on his Instagram account with a heartwarming quotation taken from the Bible in the caption.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world,” AKA wrote.
Anele Tembe died after allegedly jumping from the 11th floor at the five-star Pepperclub Hotel in central Cape Town.
Witnesses at the scene described hearing shouting and a “loud doof” sound, and said they had heard a man calling security and crying.
Western Cape SA Police Service media spokesperson Capt Frederick Van Wyk said crime-scene experts were at the scene this morning.
“Cape Town Central police are investigating an inquest case after an incident at a hotel this morning at about 7.45am on the corners of Loop and Bloem streets, Cape Town CBD, where the body of a 22-year-old woman was found deceased,” the police said in a statement.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said paramedics were also at the scene.
Anele has since been laid to rest and it looks like the rapper is now back on social media trying to get his life back on track. AKA has also been billed to perform at a concept next month according to reports.
