A Senior Pastor at Rivers Church in Sandton came under fire earlier this week for his racist remarks on black people. Pastor Andre Olivier told his congregation that black people are poor because they are lazy. Whilst twitter went up in storm calling the Pastor out, these celebs defend Rivers Church Pastor’s racist sermon.
Local celebs who attend the Rivers church took to twitter expressing that’s not what the Pastor meant in his sermon. Lloyd Cele tweeted that his point was God sends us people, black & white need each other.
Actor Tumisho Masha defended the Pastor saying Pastor @AndreGOlivier is not in anyway racist!
TV personality Lorna Maseko said it’s sad that people will twist things and take things out of context….
