Large fire breaks out in abandoned Dundee listed building

The fire broke out near the Overgate shopping centre

Emergency services battled a large fire at an abandoned furniture shop in Dundee city centre on Saturday night.

The fire started at Robertson’s furniture store on Barrack Street just before 18:00 and nine appliances attended.

The listed building from the 1930s has lain empty since Robertson’s furniture closed in 2011.
