Innovators extol Akwa Ibom Governor on tech, aviation devts |

Innovators, technology enthusiasts and participants at AfricaNXT 2022 conference in Lagos have extolled the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, for his achievements in ICT development and the aviation sector.

Some of the tech entrepreneurs, who spoke to The Guardian at the Landmark Event Centre on Wednesday said Emmanuel has shown purpose leadership by investing in hi-tech infrastructure and the success recorded by Ibom Air.

Chief Executive Officer, Bold Gains, Elushi Ogunsaye, described the Akwa Ibom Governor as one, who has opened a new vista of opportunities for his people by creating viable industries through state of the arts, ICT compliant industries.

“What is happening in Akwa Ibom is worthy of emulation. You see clearly a Governor who is contemporary in thought and execution. Special Assistants to the Akwa Ibom Governor on ICT and New Media, Solomon Eyo and Aniekeme Finbarr, enumerated Governor Emmanuel’s achievements in ICT to include the automation of state civil service by integrating Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and Asset Management System (AMS) for transparency and efficiency of its operations, the ongoing GIS for digital mapping of Akwa Ibom, the use of latest technology at the Syringe factory, Flour mill, Ibom Air, the coconut refinery and other industries in the state.
