West Ham know how to retain Declan Rice –

West Ham United are having a very good season, qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League, the fourth round of the FA Cup and they are fifth in the league. David Moyes’ men therefore had an almost perfect first half of the season, marked however by two consecutive defeats against Leeds and Manchester United in January. These two defeats highlight the club’s difficulties in being involved on several fronts.

The lack of recruits to start the second half of the season could complicate the London club’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League. According to The Telegraph Yet it is this competition that wants to play Declan Rice, the very important Hammers midfielder, who has already refused two extension offers from his club. Estimated at more than €120m by his managers, the 23-year-old player is of interest to the biggest English teams, namely the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea. Although he has two and a half years left on his contract, Rice is likely to pack his bags this summer, unless West Ham qualify for the most prestigious of competitions.
