Chrome will ask user to confirm before closing all tabs on Android –

Google should add an alert box to ask for user confirmation when closing all Chrome tabs on Android. The idea seems to be to avoid losing access to important sites that may not have been stored in favorites or to speed up people’s routine, since many people can accidentally close the browser without saving the tabs.

The novelty was first previewed in Chrome Canary 100 and may be a feature added in the future final version of the browser. When a user tries to close all tabs at once, the system will show a dialog box that will require user action.

For now, this is just a flag that needs to be manually enabled by the interested party, but nothing prevents it from arriving as a native feature, given the importance of the novelty. If you want to try it out, just follow the step by step below:

  1. type it chrome://flags in the Canary address bar
  2. Search for “Close all tabs modal dialog”
  3. Click on the drop-down menu and check the option Enable

Once this is done, you must restart the browser so that the program is updated with the new configuration. After that, just open several tabs at once and try to close them all at once to see if it worked.

As it is something in an experimental phase, not everyone can have access to the novelty immediately. In tests carried out here at Kenyannewsfor example, the option did not appear on any of the tested phones.
