This Wednesday, Greta Thunberg turned to the social network Twitter to make a promise: she will “neutralize” her language by “adopting a ‘net zero’ of profanity”. The ironic announcement comes days after the young Swedish activist was filmed shouting insults at a demonstration along the River Clyde in Glasgow, near where the 26th United Nations climate conference is taking place (COP26).
