Namibian High Commission to register citizens in Ghana ahead of November election

The Namibian High Commission in Ghana will soon begin registering its citizens in Ghana ahead of that country’s national elections in November 2019.

Namibians are expected to go to the polls on November 27, 2019.

“All Namibians residing in Ghana, Benin, Sierra Leone, Togo, Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Liberia are hereby informed and invited to participate in the supplementary Registration in Namibia as well as at the Namibian High Commission in Ghana from 08-27 July 2019,” the High Commission said in a statement.

The statement added that the “exercise will be done to provide an opportunity to register Namibian Citizens who never registered before, those who have attained 18 years of age before or on the registration date and for those who lost their Voter Cards or whose cards are damaged. The Voter cards obtained during the 2014 elections remain valid and useable for the November 2019 elections.”

The supplementary registration process will help Namibian citizens take part in the Presidential and National Assembly Elections which will be held on the 27 November 2019 in Namibia and on 13 November 2019 at the Missions Abroad.

Supplementary Registration Process will take place as follows:

Registration Venue: Namibia High Commission- Accra, Ghana Registration Date: 08-27 July from Monday to Saturday Time : 08h00 to 19h00.
