The Italian Golf Federation takes the field again with Komen Italia – partner of the “Golf è Donna” Project and charity partner of the Ladies Italian Open presented by Regione Piemonte – for the Race for the Cure, the largest event in the world for the fight against cancer breast which returns to the Circus Maximus in Rome from 5 to 8 May.

In the Roman stage, which will be followed by other appointments in 6 Italian cities, golf will be one of the main sports, with play stations to try out swing and putt with the help of qualified technicians.
There will also be an infopoint to collect all the information to discover the magic of the green and the inclusion projects of the FIG, including “Golf è Donna”, an initiative aimed at the growth of the women’s movement towards the Ryder Cup 2023 and the development of “Golf for the Cure”.
Free medical screenings – The Health Village will be set up at the Circus Maximus with medical and thematic areas in which diagnostic screening tests for the main female pathologies will be offered free of charge and where you can participate in many sports, fitness, healthy nutrition and psychological well-being initiatives .
Sunday 8 May the highlight of the event with the 5 km run and the 2 km walk in the heart of Rome. In the Village there will also be a large area reserved for the real protagonists of the event – the “Women in Pink” – women who are facing or have faced breast cancer.
With their courageous testimony, in addition to raising public awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and sending a message of strength and hope, they have generated a cultural change in the approach to the disease.
The Race for the Cure is the largest event for the fight against breast cancer in Italy and in the world. Four days of free events and initiatives for health, sport and solidarity that culminate on Sunday with the traditional and exciting 5 km run and 2 km walk in the streets of the city center.
In the last two years we have had to adapt the Race format for reasons related to the pandemic but this year we can finally go back to carrying out this extraordinary manifestation of social solidarity all together in the presence.
