ITV refused to let the explicit chanting from West Ham’s travelling faithful go unnoticed as commentator Seb Hutchinson apologised for the Hammers fans swearing mid-way through the first-half of their FA Cup tie.
After Jarrod Bowen put the visitors in front inside the opening 10 minutes at Derby County’s Pride Park, the West Ham fans broke into a rather loud chorus of “How s*** must you be, we’re winning away?”, with Hutchinson issuing an apology for the viewers at home before explaining why the supporters are so stunned at the score-line.
The Hammers fans also belted out: “Your ground’s too big for you”, before Derby’s home support bit back with: “Your ground’s a running track.”
West Ham have endured a miserable season to date, but their form on the road has been particularly shambolic. The Hammers have played 10 games away from their own stomping ground this term and have won just once, a 1-0 victory at Aston Villa in August.
They have drawn two and lost seven, heaping huge pressure on boss David Moyes with the Hammers languishing just above the relegation zone in 16th.
Earlier this month, the Scotsman opened up on West Ham’s poor form and admitted he is “not stupid enough” to think he will survive the sack if he fails to turn things around.

“I want to tell you, underneath I am really emotional and passionate and wanting to get a result,” he said. “I am hating every minute of this because I have lost five games. I am hating every bit and the players need to know that, too.
“Yes, I want to try and show my experience at times but don’t let it fool you for what I am really feeling underneath.”
He went on to add: “I am not stupid enough to think I can keep losing. [The board] have shown a bit of experience as well in not panicking.
“They want the club to win and the manager to do well, so they are giving me great support to let that happen. Sometimes, if I was going to blow my own trumpet then I would probably say: ‘Well, look, there has been three years that have been pretty good.'”
West Ham doubled their lead in the second half through Michail Antonio and look set for a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
It will mark a return to one of his old sides for Moyes, who infamously lasted just 10 months in the Red Devils hot-seat before he was sacked from his post in 2014.
