Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all fighting over major deals with the end of the January transfer window now in sight. With the deadline looming fast, Arsenal are looking for midfield additions and are eyeing a big-money swoop to beat Chelsea to the signing of Brighton’s Moises Caicedo. The Gunners are also favourites for Declan Rice and have been linked with ambitious moves for both Eduardo Camavinga and Rafael Leao.
Chelsea could also rival Arsenal for Amadou Onana, though interest in Everton team-mate Anthony Gordon has waned. The Blues are also ready to battle Liverpool for Wolves star Matheus Nunes, while they are revisiting their interest in Benfica’s World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez as well as pushing to sign Lyon right-back Malo Gusto.
Spurs are also kicking into gear at last, closing in on the signing of Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon after hijacking Everton’s move for Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma. Manchester United want Harry Kane and Liverpool are not giving up on Jude Bellingham. Follow all the latest January transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Malo Gusto wants Chelsea move
Chelsea’s next signing could come in the form of Malo Gusto from Lyon.
The Blues have made their move for the teenage Brazilian as they seek more cover and competition for the oft-injured Reece James at right-back.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Chelsea made an initial €20m bid for Gusto, around €10m less than Lyon hope to bank as negotiations continue. A potential loan back to Ligue 1 this season has been dismissed.
For his part, the 19-year-old is said to heavily favour a switch to Stamford Bridge after already agreeing a six-and-a-half-year deal and “cannot imagine” it falling through.
Tottenham can sign Danjuma for £26.4m in summer
More details have now emerged on Tottenham’s deal for Arnaut Danjuma.
The former Bournemouth winger looked to be heading to Everton until Spurs dramatically swooped at the 11th hour to pull off their own deal yesterday.
Danjuma has signed on an initial loan deal until June that includes the option – not an obligation – for a permanent summer transfer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, that option is worth €30m (£26.4m) plus add-ons. Again, he reiterates the clause is not mandatory.
Chelsea step up Onana interest
Chelsea and Arsenal could go head to head yet again in this transfer window for Amadou Onana.
Both clubs have been linked with the Belgium international in recent days as both Graham Potter and Mikel Arteta plot midfield additions.
After the battle for Mykhailo Mudryk and another potential fight looming over Moises Caicedo, who will win this particular scrap between the London rivals?
According to The Times, Chelsea are stepping up their interest in Onana, who only joined struggling Everton from Lille for £33m in the summer.
Tottenham ‘really close’ to Pedro Porro deal
Tottenham’s January transfer business finally looks to be clicking into gear with just five days remaining until the deadline.
Yesterday, Spurs completed their hijack of Everton’s move for Arnaut Danjuma, signing the Dutch winger from Villarreal on a loan basis until the end of the season that includes the option for a permanent summer deal.
Now they look to be finally on the brink of welcoming long-term target Pedro Porro.
Per transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, a deal is now “really close” – with a fresh round of talks planned between Tottenham and Sporting Lisbon for today.
Apparently all parties are confident the transfer could be wrapped up in the next day or two.
Chelsea to fight Liverpool for Matheus Nunes
Chelsea appear to have locked onto another midfield target in Matheus Nunes.
The Portuguese has impressed since swapping Sporting Lisbon for Wolves in a £38m transfer back in August.
Liverpool were believed to be hot on the trail of Nunes, who could already be on the move from Molineux.
However, the Daily Telegraph now claim that Chelsea are prepared to fight Liverpool for the 24-year-old.
The Blues are looking for a major revamp of their midfield in the summer, with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho both out of contract.
Arsenal eye £75m Caicedo swoop
Arsenal are looking to hijack Chelsea’s pursuit of Moises Caicedo.
The Blues – along with Liverpool – have long held an interest in the Ecuador international, who continues to go from strength to strength with high-flying Brighton.
Chelsea had been considered the most likely destination for Caicedo, with one £55m bid already rejected.
However, Arsenal are in the market for a new midfielder after the additions of Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior, with Mikel Arteta admitting yesterday that more cover is needed with Mohamed Elneny injured.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal are also showing real interest in Caicedo, with Brighton demanding £75m.
Sambi staying put
Mikel Arteta has turned down Monaco’s approach to sign Albert Sambi Lokonga on loan.
Arsenal are hoping to add a new midfielder this month, following Mohamed Elneny’s injury, meaning the Belgian will be staying put.
Amadou Onana, Weston McKennie and Moises Caicedo have all been linked with the Gunners.
Arsenal agree Kiwior sell-on clause
Spezia technical director has confirmed the club agreed a sell-on clause with Arsenal as part of the deal for Jakub Kiwior.
Eduardo Macia said: “For Kiwior we have a percentage for a future sale, but it is confidential.
“I was lucky enough to work for eight years in the Premier League. Arsenal are among the top 10 teams in the world, in terms of management.”
Bryan Gil future in doubt
Arnaut Danjuma’s move to Tottenham could lead to Bryan Gil leaving once again.
Sevilla are keen on a deal for the Spanish winger, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 21-year-old left the Andalusian club in 2021 to join Spurs for £21m.
Thuram makes January decision
Manchester United and Chelsea will not sign Marcus Thuram this month.
That is because the French forward has opted to stick out the season with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Thuram will therefore leave in the summer as a free agent, Foot Mercato report.
