Everton are reportedly interested in signing Lille star Timothy Weah this month and the USA international could prove to be Frank Lampard‘s own version of Kevin De Bruyne at Goodison Park.

According to French publication L’Equipe, the Toffees are seriously interested in signing the 22-year-old this month as Lampard looks to bolster his attacking options, with the Merseyside club currently languishing in the relegation spots after some woeful recent results against relegation rivals Wolves and Southampton.

The report claims that the former Paris Saint-Germain star is valued at just €15m (£13m) this month which suggests that he could be a bargain option for the Toffees to aid their fight against relegation to the Championship.

So far this campaign, the youngster has been limited to just four starts in Ligue 1 but he still has two assists to his name, with WhoScored also suggesting that he excels at key passes, which suggests that he could help to boost the Toffees’ woes in front of goal.

The 31-year-old has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League during his spell at the Etihad, contributing a remarkable 89 goals and 137 assists in 332 appearances for the Citizens.

Therefore, Lampard should definitely look to bring in the Lille star this month, as if he can replicate De Bruyne’s form, then he could be a vital player as the Toffees look to remain in the Premier League this season.
