Emma Raducanu posts practice selfie from Auckland (PIC inside)

Emma Raducanu has posted a practice selfie from Auckland as she is getting ready to kick off her 2023 season at the ASB Classic. Raducanu, 20, arrived in New Zealand this week as she is set to debut on the hard courts of Auckland.

“Praccy time down under, nz,” Raducanu captioned her Instagram post.

On the practice court, Raducanu was accompanied by her new coach Sebastian Sachs.

In mid-December, Raducanu competed at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.

There, Raducanu revealed Sachs as her new coach.

“We are trialing until the end of the year and just seeing how it goes really.

It’s been going well. I’ve done a week with him so far and I think he’s a really calm influence. He’s on it, switched on, and yeah, I’m excited to see how it goes,” Raducanu said in mid-December. Raducanu heard positive things about New Zealand Raducanu, who is entering her second full season on the WTA Tour, said she signed up to play Auckland after hearing many positive things about New Zealand.

“I’m really looking forward to coming to New Zealand. I’ve heard so many good things about the tournament. It is a great way to start off the Australian Open swing. I have heard that the tournament in New Zealand is great for players and fans.

New Zealand is known for its beautiful landscape and nature, so I hope I can get to explore some of the other beautiful parts whilst in my time there,” Raducanu said. In New Zealand, Raducanu will try to showcase her work from the offseason.

In the last two months, Raducanu worked extremely hard in the gym. Also, Raducanu did some hard work on the practice court to improve her game. In Auckland, Raducanu will certainly be hoping to do well and start the new season on a very positive note.
