While the major equipment manufacturers are preparing to announce the release of their new ranges, the first images of the new drivers are starting to leak on the networks.

Golf, clubs

At Taylormade, photos of the Stealth 2 and the Stealth 2 Plus are already circulating on several Instagram accounts.

At first glance no big change, except for a bulge located at the back of the head and supposed to generate inertia. The CarbonWood technology and the black / red colorway are always in order. In a video of the famous YouTuber Rick Shields posted recently, the latter faces Rickie Fowler on the Medalist course in Jupiter, Florida.

Fowler is one of the star players of the Cobra-Puma Golf brand and the American has been spotted with the brand’s new driver. Finally, Callaway’s long-awaited new weapon is called “Paradygm” and there too photos have already emerged.

It is in a few days that the official announcement of the release of this new range should take place. A golf club is a tool used in golf to hit the ball. Each stick is made up of a barrel (shaft) at the top of which is the handle (grip) and whose final part is called the head.

The woods are used for long shots off the fairway or tee; irons are the most versatile kind of sticks, used for many types of shots; putters are mainly used to roll the ball down the green into the hole. According to the Rules of Golf, a player is allowed to carry a maximum of 14 clubs in his bag.

One of the key differences between clubs is the loft, which is the angle between the club face and the vertical. It is the loft that allows the ball to rise from the ground and to follow a more or less taut trajectory, depending precisely on this inclination.

Furthermore, at the moment of impact, the loft contributes to backspin, i.e. the rotation in the opposite direction to the motion imparted by the club to give precision at the moment of landing, preventing the ball from rolling away from the desired point.

Each club is marked by a number or by one or more letters (e.g. PW, the pitching wedge): a higher number corresponds to a higher loft and therefore a shorter shot distance. Currently, the international regulation establishes that the coefficient of restitution between the ball and the golf club is a maximum of 0.83.
