After two cards above par (73) between Friday and Saturday, Victor Perez struck a blow this Sunday in Dubai by signing a sublime 66 (-6) without bogey which allows him to end his year in style punctuated by a second success on the Tour in May in the Netherlands.

“I wanted to have a good day. I wanted to end on a good note. The work that was done during the week finally paid off. I hit the ball really well… I think I only missed one green… First of all, I remember the victory in the Netherlands (Dutch Open).
Winning again was one of my goals. So it’s definitely a good season. The results are positive because I am at the level I think I have. It’s up to me to work a little more. They are clear for all Europeans with the Ryder Cup in Italy (in September).

Perez attended the University of New Mexico from 2011 to 20152. He represented France at the 2014 Eisenhower Trophy, where he was the second highest individual scorer behind Jon Rahm. Perez finished second in the Alps Tour qualifier in December 2015 to earn his place on the tour in 2016.
He was a runner-up at the Open Frassanelle and won the Alps Tour de Las Castillas tournament, finishing the season in fifth place overall. the Order of Merit to earn a spot on the 2017 Challenge Tour. In his first season on the Challenge Tour, Perez finished 18th in the Order of Merit, just outside the top 15 that earns his European Tour card.
He was a finalist in the Made in Denmark Challenge and won the Challenge de España. In his second season on the Challenge Tour, Perez finished 3rd on the Order of Merit which earned him a place on the 2019 European Tour.
He finished the 2018 season by winning the Foshan Open in the playoff against Robert MacIntyre , then by finishing 2nd behind Adrià Arnaus in the grand final of the Ras Al Khaimah Challenge. He also earned his first European Tour top 10 by finishing 6th in the Belgian Knockout in May.
Perez kicked off the 2019 European Tour by finishing 3rd in the first event of the season, the Honma Hong Kong Open, played in November 2018. In September 2019, Perez earned his first victory on the European Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
In 2020, he reached 41st place in the world ranking. In 2020, he participated in his first Grand Slam tournament, with a 22nd place finish (PGA Championship)4. In November 2020, he participated in his first Masters and became the 3rd Frenchman to cross the Cut during his first participation, then finished 46th at +15.
At the end of March 2021, he finished 4th in the World Match-Play Championship, beaten in the semi-final by the American Billy Horschel, future winner of the event, then by Matt Kuchar in the match for 3rd place; but finishes best European of the tournament.
