The one that Internet users nicknamed “Fatrick” is not ready to win his case. The complaint for defamation against the winner of the 2018 Masters, filed by his sulphurous lawyer, Larry Klayman, has been dismissed.
In it, Patrick Reed attacks Golfweek and one of its journalists, Eamon Lynch, but also the Golf Channel and several employees of the channel such as the famous consultant Brandel Chamblee, accused of having wanted to harm his reputation.

But according to Judge Timothy J. Corrigan, Reed’s allegations are insufficiently specific. Reed’s attorney failed to advise the defendants of the grounds on which each claim is based.
It is a question of 120 very different factual allegations which need to be carefully informed and directed against the various defendants. The judge therefore gave the plaintiff until December 16 to amend his complaint according to the judge’s orders.
Patrick Reed (born August 5, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. Patrick Reed turned pro in 2011 and has won six PGA Tour tournaments to date. At the 2014 Humana Challenge, Reed broke the PGA Tour record for the lowest under par score after 54 holes.
At 27 under par, he stayed two shots short of his previous best. Further successes in the 2014 season enabled him to qualify for the US team for the 2014 Ryder Cup. On April 8, 2018, he was able to claim his first major victory by winning the Masters in Augusta.
With a total score of 273 shots, he won by one shot over Rickie Fowler. At the 2019 Hero World Challenge, an invitational tournament hosted by Tiger Woods, Reed was caught illicitly improving his lie and lost his interim lead with a two-stroke penalty.
