At the Club de Golf Alcanada (par 72), in Port d’Alcúdia, in the Spanish island of Mallorca, the 20 “cards” for the DP World Tour 2023 have been assigned. The 28th edition of the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final is was won by the English Nathan Kimsey with a total of 279 (70 73 66 70, -9) shots ahead of compatriot John Parry and South African Bryce Easton, second with 280 (-8).
Lorenzo Scalise, the only Italian in the race, finished in 43 / a position with a score of 299 (71 74 78 76, +11).

Thanks to this exploit, the 29-year-old Briton overtook the Swiss Jeremy Freiburghaus, leader on the eve of the event, who finished in 29th place with 291 (+3) to the top of the ‘money list’
On the lowest step of the podium of the order of merit, however, the German Alexander Knappe who in Mallorca finished 10 / o with 284 (-4). Nathan Kimsey cashed a check for 87,000 euros on a total prize pool of 500,000 (the highest ever for 2022), succeeding the Danish Marcus Helligkilde, winner in 2021, in the roll of honor of the event.
In addition to Kimsey, Freiburghaus and Knappe, JC Ritchie, Mikael Lindberg, Jens Dantorp, Daniel Hillier, Oliver Hundeboll, Freddy Schott, Tom McKibbin, Robin Sciot-Siegrist, Kristian Krogh Johannessen also won the “card” for the DP World Tour 2023 , Clément Sordet, Martin Simonsen, Jeong Weon Ko, Todd Clements, John Parry, Bryce Easton, Matthew Baldwin and Deon Germishuys.
The Challenge Tour is an annual series of golf tournaments and is the second level of the PGA European Tour. It is mainly held in Europe, but also in other parts of the world, except in North America – there there is the corresponding Nationwide Tour of the US PGA TOUR.
The tournament series was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour. The 15 best players in the annual ranking will be eligible to play in the 1st league, the PGA European Tour, for the coming year, while the next 30 will be granted a more or less limited entitlement to participate.
If you win three tournaments in one season, you can immediately start the “big” tour. You qualify for the Challenge Tour via the Satellite Tour (formerly Third Level Tours), consisting of the Alps Tour, Pro Golf Tour, Nordic League and PGA EuroPro Tour, namely the first 5 of the respective annual rankings.
