Greg Norman returns to the charge. The LIV CEO spoke to The Australian and had some pretty harsh words about the PGA. As is well known, both competitions do not maintain a good relationship. One of the main reasons, the transfer of players that is taking place from the historic tour, to the now brand new Saudi competition.

The controversies continue to add up due also to the character of the maximum president of this new league.

Greg Norman, statements

“That we are trying to destroy tours is not true. The PGA is the one trying to destroy us, simple as that,” Norman said.

“The PGA has not sat down to talk not with me or with any of my investors. Now we have no interest in sitting down with them to be honest, because our product is working, ”added the charismatic CEO who points out that they gave everything on his part to hold a meeting with the tour.

“We tried very hard last year, I know personally. When we knew we weren’t going to hear from them, we just decided to leave.” The great fire that has been generated in the world of golf these months has been due to the transfer of star players from one competition to another.

The last rumor to come out, the Spanish Jon Rahm. A twitterer dared to predict that Rahm would sign for LIV. The golfer, however, took it with humor, as it is well known that the Spaniard refused to join the Saudi competition on several occasions.

“I must report that you have just started a losing streak because you and your source are wrong. I want to thank you for moving me up the PIP (Golfer Influence Ranking),” Rahm stated on his Twitter account to a user who claimed to have never failed any LIV signing.

Another one who is very against, both LIV and the return of those who left and have returned to the tour, is Rory McIlroy. The Briton spoke to The Independent sharing his disagreement with the ‘rebels’ participating in the Ryder Cup.

“I’ve said it many times, I think none of those people should be in the Ryder Cup team,” said the golfer. The mess is assured and the fight between the two competitions has no end date. The tension between golfers remains on the rise and it was already echoed at the BMW Championship in Wentworth.

The addition of LIV to the world of golf has turned the harmony of the sport upside down and it is not expected to be restored quickly.
