Venus Williams jokingly admitted that she is kinda jealous of Serena Williams having more selfies with Roger Federer. After Federer announced his plans to retire, Serena paid a tribute to Federer. Venus shared Serena’s post on her Instagram Story and joked about jealous of Serena.
“Kinda upset that Serena got to hang out and have more pictures with Roger than I did,” Venus wrote on Instagram Story. Venus, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, also paid a tribute to Federer by calling him “the greatest ever.”

“The greatest ever. Miss you already,” Venus wrote on Instagram.
Serena, who retired from the game after this year’s US Open, posted a lengthier tribute to Federer.
Serena, a former 23-time Grand Slam champion, called Federer an inspiration and noted that she was always his admirer. “I wanted to find the perfect way to say this, as you so eloquently put this game to rest – perfectly done, just like your career.
I have always looked up to you and admired you. Our paths were always so similar, so much the same. You inspired countless millions and millions of people – including me – and we will never forget. I applaud you and look forward to all that you do in the future.
Welcome to the retirement club. And thank you for being you @rogerfederer,” Serena wrote on Instagram. The game is now set to lose two great champions in a span of a few weeks. After Serena’s retirement, Federer is set to join her in a week.
On the other side, Venus hasn’t still retired and she has indicated that she plans to continue playing. At this past US Open, Venus and Serena played doubles together for the first time since 2018. The Williams, who had 14 Grand Slam titles as a pair, suffered a first round defeat to Lucie Hradecka and Linda Noskova.
