Fabio Fognini frightened Rafael Nadal in the first set of the second round match at the US Open 2022. Before the inevitable collapse in the second, third and fourth set, all dominated by the Spanish champion, who thus flies to the 3rd round of the New York Slam.
The Italian won the first set with a score of 6-2 and took the lead 4-2 in the second. At that point, however, Rafa Nadal, current number 3 in the ATP Ranking, literally changed gear.

From that moment on Fognini collapsed in front of the blows of the Spanish barbarian club. The Italian could do nothing in the face of the technical and competitive power of his opponent. Nadal hasn’t done anything wrong and in the third and fourth sets he barely conceded the crumbs.
