Taehoon Ok won the International Series Korea this Sunday on Jeju Island ($1.5 million in prize money) ahead of his compatriot Bio Kim, the only second, and the American Trevor Simsby. Frenchman Lionel Weber had not made the cut in South Korea after the second round.

At 23, Taehoon Ok achieved his first success on the Asian Tour. The South Korean, a professional for five years, won at Lotte Skyhill Country Club on Jeju Island with a total score of -15 (269) and a last card of 68 (-3).
He leaves his compatriot Bio Kim, leader of the Order of Merit, a length behind. American Trevor Simsby completes the podium at -13 (271). Of the fifteen golfers from LIV Golf who took part in this richly endowed tournament (1.5 million dollars), nine had managed to make the cut on Friday evening.

The only Frenchman in possession of playing rights this season on the Asian Tour, Lionel Weber for his part had missed the cut after 36 holes with two heavy cards of 77 (+6) and 84 (+13)… The next stage of the Asian Tour 2022 will take place in Japan from September 8 to 11 at the Koma Country Club for the Shinhan Donghae Open (1,043,363 euros in prize money).
