Gregorio De Leo won the Rome Alps Open with a total of 196 strokes (64 68 64, -20), the fifth event of the Italian Pro Tour 2022 which took place on the Parco de ‘Medici Golf Club course (par 72). Thanks to the success in this tournament, also included in the Alps Tour calendar, the 22-year-old from Biella has obtained the third title of the season on the circuit, thus winning the “card” to play next year on the Challenge Tour.
Second after the first 18 holes and third at the end of the second round, thanks to a last lap in 64 (-8) shots with seven birdies, an eagle and a bogey, De Leo went to take first place, which allowed him to cash a check for € 5,800 on a total prize pool of 40,000.
