Kasatkina, 25, revealed her s*xual orientation for the first time in public during an interview with Russian blogger Vitya Kravchenko. When asked directly if she was in a relationship with a girlfriend, Kasatkina said yes.
“Yes, [I currently have a girlfriend],” Kasatkina admitted. Kasatkina, who is currently the top-ranked Russian female player, suggested she felt relieved and at peace after coming out. “Living in the closet is impossible.
