World No. 1 Novak Djokovic says he is heartbroken over the Boris Becker situation and revealed he reached out to his former coach’s son Noah. Djokovic, who had an extremely successful partnership with Becker, was asked about his former coach, who was sentenced to two and a half years in jail.
Djokovic and Becker worked together between 2013 and 2016. After the 2016 season, Djokovic and Becker went their separate ways. During his stint with Becker, Djokovic won six Grand Slams and was mostly ranked at No. 1 in the world.
“It breaks my heart to see what happened. We had a great relationship throughout my career. I talked to his son Noah, asked if there is anything I can do. It’s just sad, I hope that he stays healthy and strong,” Djokovic said, per Sasa Ozmo.

Djokovic not taking Diego Schwartzman for granted
On Friday, Djokovic saw off Aljaz Bedene 6-3 6-3 6-2 to progress into the French Open last-16. Next up for Djokovic is tricky clay courter Schwartzman, who defeated Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets.
Djokovic has a perfect 6-0 head-to-head versus Schwartzman. Djokovic and Schwartzman clashed once at the French Open as the Serb needed five sets to beat the Argentine at 2017 Roland Garros. “Schwartzman is one of the quickest players on tour, clay is his favorite surface.

On Friday, legendary football manager Arsene Wenger and football legends Clarence Seedorf and Zinedine Zidane watched Djokovic’s match. When asked about it after the match, Djokovic said he was honored to have those sporting greats at his matches.
“I saw Wenger and Clarence Seedorf, not Zidane. It’s an honour when they come, most of us tennis players watch and follow football. I saw Arsene at the start of the match, it gave me even more motivation,” Djokovic said.
