Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United and more are all getting busy ahead of the official opening of the transfer window.

In north London, a duel is brewing over Gabriel Jesus with both the Gunners and Spurs taking a keen interest in the Brazilian forward with a year to go on his Manchester City contract expiring.

The Premier League champions are preparing to unveil Erling Haaland and the Norway international’s arrival could serve to push Gabriel Jesus out.

Bologna defender Aaron Hickey is another target for Arsenal, who are reportedly interested in taking Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill on loan next season.

At Stamford Bridge, Todd Boehly is set to take a leading role in the club’s transfer recruitment this summer once his takeover is given the green-light, with Sevilla’s Jules Kounde expected to become the first signing of the new era.

Christopher Nkunku of RB Leipzig is also admired by those at Stamford Bridge. United are another team keen on the Frenchman, having fielded some surprise interest in Harry Maguire from Barcelona.

The big European deal of the summer could in fact emerge out of Anfield with Liverpool winger Sadio Mane reportedly nearing a switch to Bayern Munich.

Sadio Mane’s Man United revelation

Sadio Mane has admitted that he very nearly snubbed Liverpool – to sign for Manchester United.

In a conversation with the Telegraph, he remarked: “I have to say, I was really close to going to Manchester United.

“I had the contract there. I had it all agreed. It was all ready, but instead I thought, ‘No, I want to go to Liverpool’. I was convinced to go with Klopp’s project.”

Tomas Soucek to stay at West Ham

West Ham have no intention of selling Tomas Soucek this summer, despite speculation that the club would be willing to listen to offers for the midfielder, writes Standard Sport’s Malik Ouzia…
