The president of Olympique Lyonnais Jean-Michel Aulas challenged the technical director of arbitration Pascal Garibian on Twitter after Lyon’s defeat against Lille on Sunday evening (0-1). The Lyon manager asked why the VAR had alerted Clément Turpin, the match referee, after Lucas Paqueta’s disputed goal when nothing had been done during the match against PSG last September on the contact between Malo Gusto and Neymar who brings a penalty for the Parisians.
President Aulas asks for an explanation, just like his coach and his players who were very upset after the referee at the end of the meeting. With this poor performance at home, OL fell to 10th place in the standings and saw LOSC pass them and be 8th.
