The president of Olympique Lyonnais Jean Michel Aulas defended his coach Peter Bosz after Lyon’s victory on Saturday against Nice (2-0). Sunday on Twitter the OL manager reacted to Thierry Henry’s analysis of Lyon’s irregularity by explaining: “All of this has to be tempered. OL remain in the race for the podium. In 2022, OL are on schedule with 10 points in five games (victories against PSG, OM, Monaco, Nice). With many absent, sick, players at the CAN or in selection, injured. The coach was not in danger. We will support the team until the end of Ligue 1 and in the Europa League!”
Yet a few weeks earlier, the situation of the Lyon coach was much more vague. Jean Michel Aulas had notably declared in the press that he was thinking of Laurent Blanc in the event of a change on the bench of his team. Currently 7th in Ligue 1, Lyon is only 4 points from fourth qualifying place for the Europa League.
@ol all of this must be tempered by OL remaining in the race for the podium: in 2022 OL are on time with 10 points in 5 games (psg OM AsM Nice). coach was not in danger we will support the team until the end L1 and UEFA!
