It’s official ! This Friday, Aston Villa announced the extension of its goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez (29) until 2027. Arrived from Arsenal in September 2020, the last Argentinian rampart therefore continues his adventure with the Villans.
“In his first campaign at Villa Park, Martínez excelled between the posts and was part of a defensive unit that equaled the club’s Premier League record of 15 clean sheets in a season. He then played for his native Argentina with whom he won the Copa América in the summer of 2021., thus specifies the press release of the club to signify the confidence granted to him.
