IN the hope of bettering her position at the 2014 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) where the CHAN Eagles came third in South Africa, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday released the names of the players that will adorn the nation’s jersey in this year’s tournament scheduled for between January 6 and February 7 in Kigali, Rwanda.
With the absence of the Warri Wolves Striker, Gbolahan Salami, who would have led the team’s attack, three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and six strikers, were named in the 23-man list that traveled to South Africa yesterday in preparation for the final phase of training for the CHAN.

Defenders: Austin Oboroakpo (Abia Warriors); Kalu Orji Okogbue (Enugu Rangers); Jamiu Alimi (Shooting Stars); Mathew Etim (Enugu Rangers); Chima Akas (Sharks FC); Stephen Eze (Sunshine Stars); Christopher Madaki Maichibi (Giwa FC); Samson Gbadebo (Lobi Stars)
