Southampton have reached agreement with Liverpool over the sales of defender Dejan Lovren.
The Croatian will have a medical with the ‘Reds’ over the weekend ahead of a £20m move to Merseyside.
Liverpool are currently on a tour of the United States of America while Lovren is expected to undergo his medical at Anfield before the rest of the squad returns.
The Croatian played in all of his country’s matches at the World Cup and has publicly spoken about his desire to join coach Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The 25-year-old look set to follow Southampton team-mates, Rickie Lambert, 32, and Adam Lallana, 25; both of whom have signed for Liverpool in a combined £29m deal.
On completion of a prospective switch, Lovren, who joined the ‘Saints’ from Olympique Lyon for £8.5m last summer, becomes Rodgers’ fifth signing of the summer.
The other arrivals at the last season’s Premier League runners-up are midfielder, Emre Can, 20, and winger, Lazar Markovic, 20, from Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica respectively.
