Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum, who recently completed her second attempt at the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon, has revealed a disturbing plot against her during her first attempt in Accra as reported by Ghana Web on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Speaking candidly about the experience, Afua shared how she discovered a malicious plan by some individuals who intended to harm her.

In a viral video, she recounted how some people allegedly tried to drug her in an effort to sabotage her attempt.

“When they planned to give me a drug so I would collapse and they could put me in an ambulance… I’ll tell you everything,” she revealed, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

Afua’s first attempt had been marred by criticism and public backlash, with many questioning her motives and accusing her of greed.

Despite these challenges, she managed to push through, but not without feeling the weight of the negative comments.

“For a recognition that doesn’t have money, for a recognition that I’ve been tagged greedy and insulted, why would you even want to destroy me over it?” she questioned.

She also reflected on the intimate and more supportive environment of her second attempt in Kumasi, which she found fulfilling despite the low turnout.

“This time around, I really had time to assess myself. It was so intimate, and I loved it,” she said.

Though Afua has been advised to remain silent on further details, she promised to reveal more about the disturbing plot in the future. “In 2025, I’ll tell you everything,” she said, hinting at a more detailed revelation to come.
