Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Okotie-Eboh, Ikoyi, have arrested 12 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos.
The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, during a sting operation carried out in the Ajegunle-Apapa area of Lagos State.

The EFCC disclosed this in a post shared via its official X handle on Wednesday, stating that the operation was based on credible intelligence.
“Their arrest followed credible intelligence received by the Commission on the activities of some individuals suspected to be involved in computer-related fraud,” the statement read.
