At least two persons have been rescued, following the collapse of a building under construction in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Ruby’s Court Estate, behind Saint Anne’s School, Olorunsogo, Molete, in Ibadan area of the day.
In a statement by Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident.

He said that: “The emergency was reported at exactly 1:53 pm on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The agency’s personnel promptly deployed to the scene of the incident, and on getting to the place, it was a storey building under construction that collapsed, trapping two male persons who were rescued alive. The one that sustained a serious injury was taken to a nearby hospital.”
