Nigerian music star Davido has stirred reactions with his attendance at the Late Fela Kuti’s honour party in Los Angeles.
Ahead of the Grammys on Sunday, the music star had joined Fela’s kids to celebrate him at the Grammys Honours Party in Los Angeles, US.

In videos that are making rounds, he was captured with Fela’s kids, Femi, Yeni and others.
The video of his attendance has caused a stir online following his rival, Wizkid, who diminished Fela’s legacy.

Refreshing your memory, Fela’s son, Seun, had criticised Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as Wizkid FC, accusing them of constantly dragging his late father’s name into online music debates. Seun insisted that calling any modern artist the “new Fela” showed ignorance about the depth of his father’s legacy.
Things escalated when Wizkid declared himself bigger than the late Afrobeat legend and questioned Seun’s right to inherit his father’s greatness.
Wizkid and Davido’s beef runs deep, and it has gone on almost as far back as the beginning of their careers.
The Grammy singer went on an extensive rant over Davido. For over 24 hours, Wizkid threw shots at Davido by cussing him out and stating that Davido’s career was wack. Wizkid also said that people around Davido are all broke, but they keep following him around and flying to different countries.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when Wizkid went on a long rant, calling out Davido for allegedly accepting a low deal from Puma.
Davido wasn’t the only person to feel the brunt of Wizkid’s rant, as he also directed his ire at the singer’s entourage, including his lawyer, who he mocked for following him around. He also called Davido’s entourage broke, citing that they only follow him from country to country, but have no money of their own.
Davido didn’t have to lift a finger during this fight, as his aides and fans stormed at Wizkid, who stood firm as a one-man army.
In November, Wizkid took a swipe at Davido’s song, Awuke, describing it as Ebuka while slamming those comparing his song to Davido’s.
In another tweet, he stated that Davido wasn’t at his level when it came to music, dressing, and finances. He further said that Davido, being a 001, was only in his house and that he doesn’t make more money than anybody in the music industry.
