Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba or 2Face, is celebrating his mother, Mrs Rose Idibia, on her 70th birthday.
Kemi Filani reported on Friday that the singer’s mother had turned 70. His younger brother, Charles Idibia, had shared lovely throwback photos of their mum. The photos, which went viral, drew attention to the striking resemblance between her and her grandchildren.
Joining him, the singer had shared an adorable clip of himself and his mother, stating that words can’t capture what he feels and wishes for her. The music icon expressed gratitude for the blessing of her, describing her as simply amazing.
To mark her age milestone, 2baba threw a lavish birthday bash for her in Abuja. The party was attended by his new wife, Natasha, his sons from his ex-wife, Sunmbo Adeoye, his younger brother, Charles, and others.
Noticeably absent at the event were his ex-wife, Annie Idibia’s daughters, Isabel and Olivia. Well, Isabel is in school abroad, but we wonder why Olivia wasn’t in attendance.
When the news of 2baba’s engagement made rounds online, his mother made a passionate appeal to Natasha. She begged the Edo lawmaker to remove the beads she kept on her son’s hands and neck and free him. Rose noted how her son was going through a divorce process from Annie and as such, wasn’t in his right senses.
The singer’s family had even filed a petition to the DSS calling for the intervention of the singer from Natasha. His family claimed that the legendary singer had been missing and was last seen in his loungewear.
His younger brother, Charles Idibia, weighing in on it, claimed that 2baba had been captured from inside the frying pan and thrown into an industrial furnace as he accused his girlfriend, Natasha, of controlling and manipulating him. He urged his brother to wake up for the sake of his kids.
The two were able to solve their family drama as singer took Natasha to meet his mother and family members, and she was in attendance at his wedding and 50th birthday celebration.
