Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has shared a powerful message with the public.
On her Instagram page, the movie star, who is contesting for Vice President AGN Southwest, admonished the public to stop saying yes to everything and everyone, and agreeing with people just so you don’t upset them. She reminded them that they weren’t a pushover, and that they weren’t born to be stressed and miserable, so others could be relaxed and happy.
Dayo told them to stop protecting their time and happiness as if others can’t handle it, kick them out and don’t look back. She added that they shouldn’t ever feel bad for making a decision about their own life that upsets others.
According to Dayo, the world owes us nothing, and we are where we are because of our decisions, not because of our circumstances. She added that they should stop whining and start taking responsibility for themselves.

Stop saying yes to everything and everyone. Stop agreeing with people just so you don’t upset them. You are not a pushover. You were not born to be stressed & miserable so others can be relaxed & happy.

You are not responsible for their happiness but yours. Anyone who wants you to live in misery for their happiness should not be in your life to begin with.

Just a few days back, while sharing a screenshot of her updated HIV test result, the Yoruba actress had encouraged the public to get tested for their HIV status. Dayo went on to list the importance of getting tested.
In a message to her gënder, Dayo kicked against any woman who depended on their partner for money. She questioned why any woman would feel comfortable living on her spouse’s or partner’s income, as she advised them to work and make their own money, regardless of their spouse’s wealth.
In a 2023 post, the mother of one shared her thoughts on marriage, noting how many believe marriage will cure their loneliness, which leads to unrealistic expectations. Preaching on self-love, she emphasized that marriage isn’t for everyone and shouldn’t be rushed.
Some years back, the Yoruba actress disclosed why she stayed in an abusive relationship that almost ruined her life. She revealed that it was hard to leave, as she was used to being a fixer, but eventually, she saved her life.
