Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has lashed out at members of the newly formed opposition coalition, accusing them of being bitter and disgruntled simply because they are no longer in government.
Speaking to news men on Tuesday, Radda said the coalition comprises people who had previously held power but failed to deliver results. He questioned their credibility and motives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Let’s be realistic. Let’s tell ourselves the truth. The time for deceiving Nigerians is over,” Radda said.

“Who was not in the government in the last regime? Who is not in government? We know the track record of everyone. We know what they have done when they were in government, and they are now crying and shouting because they are outside of the government,” he added.

The governor challenged the coalition, which adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and named ex-Senate President David Mark as interim national chairman, to present a clear agenda rather than recycling old faces.
“Let them come out and tell Nigerians, those who want to contest for president in this election… Are they going to bring the subsidy back?” Radda asked.
“And if they are going to bring subsidy back, let them tell Nigerians how they are going to run the government, and with what resources.”
