Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has hinted on running for presidency in 2027, vowing that corrupt politicians will be severely punished if elected.
Recall that INFORMATION NIGERIA had reported that the former presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, including some politicians, dumped the major opposition party to join Africa Democratic Congress.
Atiku, former senate president, David Mark, ex- Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Peter Obi of Labour Party, Nasir El-Rufai from Kaduna State, and others all formed coalition group under ADC to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 election.

Atiku made the declaration on Saturday, while addressing a group of people and his supporters in Hausa language, saying that no corrupt person will be permitted in his government.
He said: “I swear to God, if elected, whoever steals or engages in any corruption-related activities, we will declare war against them and they must be punished.”
Atiku had lost twice to ruling All Progressive Congress.
The Adamawa State’s politician lost to former president, Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, he also got defeated by President Tinubu with a slim margin in 2023.
