Some properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed, following a fire Incident which occurred within a shopping complex along Alakia Isebo Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that the inferno which happened on Wednesday, affected five out of the 19 shops in the complex before men of the Oyo State Fire Service intervened and put it out.
It was gathered that the rescue effort led by firemen was coordinated by Adesina Olusoji after receiving a distress call.

Speaking in a statement on Wednesday, Chairman of the fire agency in Oyo State, Moroof Akinwande, urged residents of the state to always switch off and unplug all electrical appliances while not in use.

He said: “The fire affected five (5) out of ten (10) shops and the Agency’s personnel were able to save properties worth of millions naira.
“The fire incident was traced to be an electric surge ignited nearby combustibles and set the shops ablaze.”
