“I’ll Always Be Where Buhari Is” – Hadi Sirika Shuts Down ADC Defection Rumours

Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has firmly denied claims that he has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), maintaining his loyalty to former President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The denial comes after Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, alleged on Arise TV that Sirika had joined the political coalition gaining momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The claim was further amplified by a report on Premium Times, attributed to presidential aide Bayo Onanuga.

Reacting to the reports in a statement issued on Thursday, Sirika dismissed them as false and misleading, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I watched HE Nyesom Wike today on Arise claiming that I have joined the so-called coalition. Whilst still in shock, I read on Premium Times this evening, a report credited to Chief Bayo Onanuga, making the same claim,” he said.

“I am a founding member of the APC, I gave it its name. I have no plans to leave it. I will always be where President Buhari is. If you must hate him, hate me too. I have no apology.”

He added, “At their levels, they ought to fact check. I call upon our loyal members to ignore both statements and consider them pedestrian.”

Sirika’s statement underscores the continued political influence of Buhari within the APC fold, even as talks of coalition realignment stir speculation ahead of the 2027 elections.
