A massive security sweep in Kaduna State has led to the arrest of 398 criminal suspects within just nine days, according to the State Police Command.
The operation, spearheaded by the Nigeria Police Force, is part of a coordinated initiative involving multiple security agencies including the Nigerian Army, DSS, Civil Defence, Immigration, NDLEA, FRSC, Customs, and others.
Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday.

Among those arrested is Matthew Adamu, a feared gang leader allegedly responsible for terrorising residents.
A locally made pistol was recovered from him. Also in custody is Adamu Umar, a known drug dealer whose case has been handed over to the NDLEA.
Authorities also seized several dangerous weapons, illicit substances, and 29 stolen mobile phones, some of which have been returned to their rightful owners after verification.
“The operation also led to the recovery of various dangerous weapons, illicit drugs, and stolen items. Some victims have already reclaimed their phones after proper identification,” Hassan added.
The special task force says it will continue operations until all criminal elements are rooted out. Residents are urged to cooperate and provide information that can assist security agencies in maintaining peace and order.
