We’ll Not Be Part Of Any Coalition Group To Unseat Tinubu In 2027 – Imo SDP Insists

Imo State Chairman of Social Democratic Party, Henry Eluwa has insisted that the party will not join any coalition group, planning to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 general elections.

Mr. Eluwa noted that SDP will try its best to maintain and protect its good image and will never allow any form of merger that will erase the its ideology.

Speaking in a statement on Sunday,  the Imo SDP’s Chairman said that the State Chapter of the party is in total agreement with the decision taken at the national level.

Eluwa noted that Shehu Musa Gabam, SDP’s National Chairman had pointed out that any form of merger will only multiply the crisis the nation is trying to address, adding that the party will only support and promote credible leadership.

He said: “Those who believe in our vision, like Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai and Major Hamza Al-Mustapha and others, have joined us without conditions and that’s the spirit we uphold.

“SDP is here to stay, and by the will of Allah, we will present a credible candidate that Nigerians across all divides can rally behind in 2027.

“The movement is growing, and so is the hope for a better Nigeria.

“We will never collapse into any coalition or merger. We are firmly committed to maintaining our identity, values and national outlook.”
