Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Moscow to begin preparations for their high-profile international friendly against Russia.
Coach Eric Chelle’s side departed England for Moscow on Sunday night as they gear up to meet the European nation, scheduled for Friday, June 6.

The match, set to take place at the iconic Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, marks the first-ever senior-level meeting between Nigeria and Russia.

Head coach Eric Chelle and his squad recently concluded their participation in the 2025 Unity Cup invitational tournament in London, where they emerged champions.
Recall that Nigeria defeated Jamaica 5-4 in a penalty shootout at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium after a 2-2 draw in regulation time to secure the title.
The team is made their journey to Russia via Morocco, continuing their preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
