Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stepped down from his position, citing health concerns.
The resignation, which is effective immediately, marks a sudden twist in the party’s leadership as it gears up for critical political engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, reportedly submitted his resignation on Friday, June 27, 2025. His decision was disclosed by Bashir Ahmad, a former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, who said.
