The Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has apprehended 34 suspected internet fraudsters.
Acting on credible intelligence regarding suspected fraudulent activities, security operatives arrested the alleged fraudsters in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, at Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, the Head of Media and Publicity of the commission, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that items recovered from the suspects include 11 exotic cars, laptops, several mobile phones, incriminating documents, and other materials.
“They will be charged in court when investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
