Delta Police Nab Two Suspected Cultists, Recover Dangerous Weapons

Operatives of Delta State Police Command have arrested two suspected cult members, identified as Telvin Richmond and Frank Obiorah, along Otokutu Bridge, Warri, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

It was gathered that the development is coming, following an interception of a black Toyota Corolla car with registration number RSH 90 RC driven by the suspects.

They were said to be arrested by Police operatives during a routine stop and search duty along Otokutu Bridge, on the 18th of June, 2025.

Speaking over the development in a statement on Tuesday, Spokesman for Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, disclosed that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of Aiye confraternity.

He added that one of them bought the gun, which was recovered by security agents in 2024 for N87,000 from another suspect currently at large.

Edafe said: “The vehicle and the suspects were subjected to a thorough search, a locally made cut-to-size gun, two yellow hand-bands inscribed with NBM “neo black movement.

“One battle axe and a wooden pistol, all concealed inside the compartment of the vehicle doors.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of the Aiye confraternity and that one of them bought the gun in the year 2024 for the sum of eighty-seven thousand naira from another suspect presently at large.”
