Veteran Nollywood actress Tola Oladokun has poured praises on her colleague, Funke Akindele.
In the latest episode of Oyinmomo TV, the veteran took her fans through her career journey, relationship status, and how she got in contact with Funke Akindele, who has greatly helped her career.

She revealed that Lala introduced her to the filmmaker, and everything changed for her. According to her, she met Funke during Odun Ifa’s days, when Funke was still learning the ropes of Nollywood.
Tola said Lala was the first to introduce her to Funke, but she could not feature in her movie, ‘Agbefo’, because she was working on another production. However, Funke still called her through Lala and offered her another opportunity, and since then, she has been working with the award-winning actress.
“Well during the days of Odun ifa, when Funke was still learning the ropes that was when we first met, she’s always there whenever Yinka calls me for a job and she’s been calling also since then, Lala was the first who introduced her to me, but I wasn’t able to feature in her movie then ‘Agbefo’ because I was on another job, so after she finished the movie Lala called me again on her behalf, so she’s been calling me to feature in her movies since then, before we did ‘Jenifa’”.
Back in April, actor Ijoba Lande recalled how Funke called him for a movie production at Amen Estate, where he spent one month and was only paid N90,000.
Making a U-turn, the actor tendered an apology to her, claiming that the video was taken out of context. He claimed that Funke paid him more until he left the location after he complained to her.
In 2023, an alleged report made rounds of how Funke pressured media mogul, Mo Abudu to decast Toyin from Chief Daddy’s movie and replace her with Kate Henshaw, which Mo succumbed to. The blogger further claimed that Funke did the same with Beverly Osu but for the intervention of Joke Silva, Beverly was saved. Cutie Julls claimed that the issue almost led to a confrontation between Beverly and Funke after she got wind of it.
Last year, Faithia Williams called out Funke for allegedly blocking her on Instagram over her support for Mercy Aigbe and her new movie. The Yoruba actress made Funke know that she isn’t her God, and she wasn’t bothered by her petty act.
