Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) will be awarding certificate, diplomas and degrees to over 900 students who are graduating today on 28 May 2025 making its 8th graduation ceremony.
The minister of Higher Education, Dr. Jessie Kabwila is attending the event as the guest of honour.
In his statement LUANAR’s Council Chairperson, Professor Zachary Kasokomera, told the students that Malawi needs their skills and knowledge. He said that the country can only reach its goals in Malawi 2063 if young people contribute to improving agriculture sector.
Professor kasokomera added that farming is the key to help Malawi become a self-reliant nation.
He concluded by encouraging the graduating students to make good use of their papers by applying what they have learned in real life challenges.
