A yet to be ascertained numbers of residents have been killed in an attack by gunmen, suspected to be headsmen in Otobi community, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the horrible incident which occurred on 15th of April, 2025, left many houses destroyed, while some villagers ran for safety.
Speaking with PUNCH on Tuesday, a resident of Otobi Community, Edwin Emma, said that the renewed attack left many persons dead.

He said: “We are being attacked by herdsmen at Otobi community; my wife and children are fleeing from the community as I speak, please call for help.”

Also confirming the horrible attack, the lawmaker representing Otukpo-Akpa in the Benue State House of Assembly, Kennedy Angbo, said that the incident started around 5:30 pm on Tuesday.
Mr. Kennedy said: “Right now, many people are feared killed, and hundreds of people have fled the community.”
