Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Russia will clash in a high profile international friendly on the 6th of June, 2025.
The development was contained in a statement by Russia Football Federation via it official website on Thursday.
INFORMATION NIGERIA reports that the European country will also be meeting Zambia and Belarus.
The statemenr reads: “Reached agreements with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and two other football bodies to arrange the friendly matches.
“While the match is scheduled to be played in Russia, the specific time and venue remain undecided.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria Football Federation is yet to release an official statement regarding the announced friendly.

Russia remains banned from FIFA and UEFA competitions due to the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Despite this ban, the Russian national team has continued to play friendly matches against non-Western countries.
Super Eagles will also shift focus to their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March:
March 21: Rwanda vs. Nigeria – Amahoro Stadium, Kigali
March 25: Nigeria vs. Zimbabwe – Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
